Education
From first standard to fourth studied in Ramappa Primary School of Pulkeri, Karkala. From fifth to seventh studied at Basavanahalli Higher Primary School. High School and Pre-University at PU College Hittala, of Shivamogga District.
Later he joined Government Firth Grade College, Chikkamagaluru. After the completion of Bachelor Degree in Arts, worked as Journalist and later dedicated his time for Social Service.

About My Journey
The Bharathiya Janatha Party, born with a great purpose of reviving our country, has giving the nation great leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, L.K.Advani and today’s model Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi. In the same tradition, Shri. V. Sunil Kumar, who has been elected as the Member of Legislative Assembly from the Karkala Constituency, is not limited to just being a political leader. And also he is not interested in being called as just a political leader. He is a true leader who has triggered a new wave of developments in Karkala’s Constituency with the support of the Party Works. True to the saying that a true leader keeps up his promises and never rests until he accomplishes the promises, the youth leader Shri. V. Sunil Kumar organised the ‘Job Meet’ in 2015 successfully and became a house hold name.
Nationalism
During 100 Years Birth Anniversary Program of Unrivaled fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, organised Special Speech & Lectures for youth of Karkala. Which Instilled Patriotism & Nationalism in Young Minds. Organised Program on 150 Years of 1st Independence Struggle, had Chai-Pe-Charcha with students.
Achievements
Shri V. Sunil Kumar is a much respected MLA of this Karkala constituency who is doing people centric work with great care and has become very popular among people for his devoted service.
Elected as the MLA for the first time between 2004-2007, he served the constituency with the only thought of the development and emerged as the most popular youth leader. With the great intention of doing public focused work and service that will stay not only in the minds of people but also in the constituency forever. He gave special importance to many projects, which fetched these results: The Polytechnic College in Karkala, Morarji Boarding School of Miyar, Koti Chennaiah Theme Park in memory of immortal Hero of Thulunadu. ‘Koti Chennaiah’a Guest House constructed with an expenditure of Rs. 60.00 lakhs near Hiriyangadi of Karkala and also a fully fledged Sports Stadium which is like a gift to Karkala Taluk. All this reflects the amount of interest he has in developing the Constituency.
Later in 2013 he is once again elected as the MLA of Karkala Taluk for the second time with the blessings of the people and has fast paced many developmental works.
Constituency Development & Pro-People Approach
It is a record in Karnataka where in one has tried so hard like Mythological Bhageeratha to get a grant more than Rs. 40.00 crores and to begin constructing more than 50 small dams to fulfill the needs of drinking water and water for irrigation.
A long with this, the very active and young MLA V. Sunil Kumar’s futuristic good thoughts have resulted in the construction of a Swimming Pool for the interested youths, development of the Government Hospital meant for the service of the poor patients and the construction of an Industrial Area in a 120 Acre plot in Miyar.
A very important development we all should take a note of are, Karkala’s Roads. Yes, the roads of Karkala are transforming, getting beautiful, getting ready for a smooth flow of traffic. Most of the roads are being upgraded to Four Lane Roads’ to manage the ever increasing traffic.
The Connecting Road from Pulkeri to Dubble Road, Ajekaru Market Road, Bajagoli Road, Bylooru Road and other roads that connect the life of the people, show a picture of the development and also it shows the vision of our esteemed MLA for the future. The road that connects Karkala – Sanoor –Beluvayi from the Central Government grant of Rs. 39.00 crores, and the road that connects Karkala-Bajagoli-Mala from a grant of Rs. 29.00crores shows that the word ‘Development ‘is not just a word but it is a determination.
2000 job seekers and 50 companies participated in this Job Meet and more than 600 job seekers got appointed in this unprecedented model programme. Shri. V. Sunil became an Eco friendly MLA, a rare feat in the whole Karnataka State by organising ‘Parisara Uastava’in every village of Karkala Taluk involving all the organisation and interested people in 2016 with all the enthusiasm. It is a great movement were planted and 25000 evaporation pits were made which will increase the ground water level.
Not only this, the way Shri. V. Sunil Kumar responds to the culture of the land, from which he contested and elected, is adorable. The ATI is a month of rest for the people of Tulu and he its own importance with the various cultural celebrations, preparing different kinds of delicacy dishes and hosting sports competitions. With the past paced modernisation, the ATI celebrations are fading out and to revive it Shri. V.Sunil Kumar organised ‘Atidonji Kamala Koota’and became a cultural crusader. His thoughts are scholarly, projects are prosperous and the way of working is great. Apart from all this he is like a golden mark in the sessions of legislative Assembly. He actively participates in the Assembly sessions and is also a chief spokesman of the opposition party. Though young, his speciality is showing his mastery in working in the middle of the senior leaders. Shri. V.Sunil Kumar is a very simple and well behaved person, who is a gift from Karkala and is a gift to the Karkala. He is serving his constituency by being the voice of the problems of the people and making the concerned Ministers and the Officers to open their eyes to the problems and attend to it. He is one among a few representatives of the people who utilises the Question Hour of the Legislative Assembly appropriately. He is a determined person who organises rallies and fights seriously, all along, from Karkala to Bangaluru wherever there is an attempt to make the feelings of the people and their lives are affected. He is a bold leader who has organised fights against Power Cut, Sand Administration (mafia, Corruption, Naxal Problem, Katuri Rangan Report and other such issues. Realising that the ‘power of the Youth is the Future of India’ he has unveiled the power of the Youths of Karkala. Being a loyal BJP worker and leader he organised ‘Yuva Sankalpa Samavesha’to make the party stronger and “Maha Samparka Abhiyan’to keep the connection intact with the people in Karkala Taluk through which he has become a mass leader of Karkala.
Our favourite MLA, Shri. V.Sunil Kumar is a fluent orator, non-arrogant personality, always in communications with the people. He responds to the new innovations, is embodies with the urge to fight against injustice and always thinks and implements the people centric work. He has taken a permanent place in the hearts of the youths and also he presents the problems of the people of Karkala effectively in the State and National level. In true words, in just three years he has achieved great things in Karkala and is involved in continuous development and continuous service to the people. He is eager to achieve still more and to be with the people.
